Riisitunturin kansallispuisto / Riisitunturi National Park
Riisitunturin huipulla. 2024
Vietimme juhannusviikkoa Rukalla ja päätimme ajaa yhtenä aurinkoisena iltapäivänä reilun puolen tunnin matkan päässä olevalle Riisitunturille. Keli oli mitä mahtavin! Suihkutettiin hieman OFF:ia parkkipaikalla ennen vaellusta, mutta täällä ollaan kuitenkin jo sen verran meren pinnan yläpuolella (Riisitunturin kaksoishuiput ovat noin 465 mmpy), että hyttysiä ei ollut juuri lainkaan.
// We spent Midsummer in Ruka and decided to drive one sunny afternoon to Riisitunturi, which is just over half an hour away. The weather was amazing! We sprayed some OFF (insect repellent) on us in the parking lot before the hike, but we are already so high above sea level here (the twin peaks of Riisitunturi are about 465 MASL) that there were almost no mosquitoes.
Meidän illan reitiksi valikoitui 4,5 km mittainen Riisin rääpäsy. Parkkipaikalta lähti leveä polku kohti Riisitunturin huippua. Saatiinkin Petterin kanssa kävellä vierekkäin melkein koko matkan huipulle mikä oli mahtavaa. Saatiin rupatella niitä näitä ja ihastella upeita maisemia ja tietysti toisiamme. Vaikka polku vei meitä koko ajan korkeammalle tunturia, niin kävely ei koskaan tuntunut pahalta. Sanoisinkin, että tämä vaellus oli äärettömän helppo, vaikka siinä nousua olikin.
// We chose the 4.5 km long Riisin rääpäsy as our evening hike. From the parking lot, a wide path led to the top of Riisitunturi. Petteri and I were able to walk side by side almost the entire way to the top, which was amazing. We were able to chat and admire the wonderful scenery and of course each other. Even though the path took us higher and higher up the fell, the walk never felt bad. I would say that this hike was extremely easy, even though there were constantly some climbing.
Riisitunturin huipulla oli penkkejä missä pystyi hyvin nauttimaan pienestä tauosta, luonnonrauhasta ja Lapin kauneudesta. Sanoin Petterille huipulla istuessa, että tämä on yksi suosikki kansallispuistoistani. Ympärillä oleva luonto on vaatimattomalla tavalla äärettömän kaunista. Polut olivat hyvin helppokulkuisia, eikä täällä ollut vaeltajia ruuhkaksi asti.
// At the top of Riisitunturi there were benches where you could really enjoy a little break, the peace of nature and the beauty of Lapland. I told Petteri while sitting at the top that this is one of my favorite national parks. The nature around is incredibly beautiful in a modest way. The trails were very easy to walk, and there weren’t too many hikers.
